Poop Talk.....

So as people with babies know, your baby will go through different stages of poop. Chloe who is finally getting on a schedual of feeding and sleeping :0D is also showing other changes. Today was her first firm poop. And while she sat in her chair and grunted and turned red she decided to use me a a focal point, it was truley hilarious. And boy did it STINK!!!!! but I knew it was coming as she is a good little eater, and actually LOVES her veggies, and now gerber has all these great foods with DHA and yummy flavores like blueberry pear granola and garden veggie mix with brown rice. And as a parent I'm sure you know we have to do the temp test on our lips before we feed these foods to our little ones, well I'll tell ya they actually taste great, if they wern't mush I would eat it too!!! Still waiting for Chloe to drop a few teeth, the drool, chewing, and the nightly fit of pain as her poor body relaxes and the teething pain kicks in :(. But as a breastfeeder, minus her in pain of course, I'm hoping she follows in her brothers footsteps and doesn't cut teeth untill after she's one. But Madison cut hers at about nine months so....other then that she's talkin up a storm, baby babble that is, although we have heard her say both Mama and Dada a few times!!! She rolls over All the time, just to get mad and get rolled back over...and no crawling yet but she's a very determined baby and wants what she wants NOW so it won't be long.

Mommies angles

It's not very often I get BOTH girls to sleep during the day at the same time...but when they do the world stops for just a minute while you look at them so peacfully and realize it's the noise they make that fills your house with life and you realize in that moment you want to hold on to that chaos forever!!!

CHLOE

How fast our little ones grow. Chloe has been a sweetheart and a needy little thing all at the same time. And I supose some of it is my fault as I tend to spoil.....but why else would I have the beautiful children. Someday they will be older and face a life of hardships and blessings....responsability and the consiquences that come from neglecting responsability....I can only hope as there mother that I give them a childhood Full of love and security and TONs of great memories that help mold them into the great parents I know they will be someday!!!

I need a BREAK!!!!

So Chloe has been a very hands on little girl....no surprize as Madison was the same. So we finally broke down and decided we needed a swing....my poor back just couldn't act as a swing any longer. So thanks to my dad's Birthday -New baby gift contribution we were able to afford a swing. And actually it was one of the less expensive models but worth way more then we payed. It actually plugs into the wall so we don't need batteries and has tons of power which is good for our kids as they are always on the heavier side. Anyways I LOVE it! Chloe doesn't seem to mind sitting in there and swinging away, although she is noticing I am holding her less and trying to put up a stink!!! But it works really well right after she has started to doze off after a tummy full of milk...I stick her in and she is just to relaxed to fight it and off she goes to dreamland!!! And off I go to cook a real meal and catch up on house work. Yeah for swings!!!

This is what Dylan makes with his Playdough!!! Creative little shit.

PLAYDOUGH

HOMEMADE PLAYDOUGH.......

1) BOIL 3 CUPS WATER AND 1 1/2 CUPS SALT.

2) ADD 3TBLS OIL, 3 CUPS FLOUR, AND 6TSP CREAM OF TARTER.

3) STIR LIKE MAD.

I OFTEN HAVE TO DUMP IT ON THE TABLE AND KNEAD IT BY HAND (WHICH IS A HOT PROJECT, AND ACTUALLY TY USUALLY DOES THIS FOR ME). DON'T FREAK OUT IT WILL GO FROM WET TO LUMPY AND NOT MIX FAST BUT IF YOU CAN HANDLE THE HEAT OF THE DOUGH WHILE YOU KNEAD IT, IT WILL MAKE THE BEST PLAYDOUGH EVER!!! THEN ONCE IT'S COOL YOU CAN ADD COLORS. THIS PLAYDOUGH LASTS ALOT LONGER THEN THE STUFF YOU GET AT THE STORE AND SEEMS TO BE MUCH EASIER TO CLEAN OUT OF THE CARPET!!! OUR KIDS LOVE IT SO WE THOUGHT WE WOULD SHARE THE RECIPE IN CASE ITS A HIT FOR ANY OF YOU.

HAIRCUTS!!!

Madison got a new haircut today by her Daddy as you can see. I always thought she would look adorable with this length but have always been stuck on the opinion that little girls should dance around with long hair. It was a shocker to my eyes at first but I think it turned out just darling and Madison will enjoy not having to sit for 20 minutes while I untangle the snarles from sleeping the night before. And it will grow...Fast as always!!!

SNOW

Old man winter decided to visit us a few weeks early. Madison was sooooo excited to see the snow she ran through the whole apt. the ground is white come see come see. She wanted to get suited up right that minute and go make Snow Angels. Of course we didn't get enough snow for that (thank goodness) as we still need to get new winter coats and gear for the year. But we knew we were gonna get hit good this year and early as summer was super mild, infact hardly a summer at all. And although I LOVE winter and the holidays and snow fun that it comes with I would gladly rewind time and have our mild summer back while Chloe gets a little older and I feel less helpless about a our tiny little baby getting winter sickness.

Life...School...Future...

Life........
So, it has been an extremely chaotic past couple of months. With school, work, family, Dr. Visits twice a week, and Chloe being born. I think I have managed to stay on top of it all pretty well. I was able to take 8 days off of work to spend at home through the C-section and after to help Bridget while she is re-cooping. I think going back to work next week will be difficult, I have enjoyed my time at home with the family. This is the first time I have ever been able to take that much time off of work, and it has been nice!
School.......
I have also been able to keep up with school, surprisingly... I have four classes this semester and I love them all. My favorite is Jazz History, which I didn't expect. I am proud of my grades, at this point I have 3 A's and 1 B, I hope I can keep it that way...
Future.......
Decisions, Decisions! - I met with an admissions advisor this week from the University of Minnesota's CFANS (College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences) program. They offer a degree in Fisheries and Wildlife that I am very excited about. I found out that with the credits that I currently have I could transfer into the program next semester. I have decided though to stay at Normandale Community College next semester to finish up and graduate with my AA in Bioscience. I will leave Normandale with a degree in my hand and some extra classes under my belt that will transfer to the "U". For the first time I am excited, REALLY EXCITED, about school and the program/field I have chosen!!

Chloe 1 Week Old

Chloe is now one week old!!! She has been an extremely good baby. She only cries when she wants to be fed. If she doesn't get it right when she wants it she screams bloody murder. She has been so much fun and the kids adore her! So far, it has been a pretty smooth transition.

Chloe - Day 3

You would think that Chloe was Bridget's little dolly, she changes her outfit 3 or 4 times a day just to see how she looks in them.

We are so happy to finally have her here and in our arms. So far she is a really good baby! Dylan and Madison are adjusting well to having a baby in the house.
